Man Arrested After Trying To Break Into Lake Oswego Home (follow-up)

LAKE OSWEGO – [FOLLOW-UP] On Friday, September 3, 2021, a burglary occurred in the 1800 block of Country Club Road and, a while later, an attempted burglary occurred in the 500 block of Country Club Road, during which the suspect chased the 17-year-old victim. Fortunately, the victim was able to get inside her house and lock the doors before the suspect was able to reach her, and she called 911. An officer located the suspect nearby and identified him as 39-year-old Hector E. Mundt. Mr. Mundt was arrested and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a trespassing charge out of Beaverton Municipal Court while the officer continued to investigate the incidents.

On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, these cases were presented to a Grand Jury and, on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, Mr. Mundt was arrested and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail for the following charges:

  • Burglary 1 (ORS 164.225),
  • Attempted Burglary 1 (ORS 164.225),
  • Menacing (ORS 163.190),
  • Theft 2 (ORS 164.045),
  • And Criminal Trespass 2 (ORS 164.245).
