Officers Respond to Single-Vehicle Traffic Crash and Find Woman Deceased
LAKE OSWEGO – On Sunday, July 16, 2023, just after noon, officers responded with LOFD and AMR to a person who was reported to be unconscious and may not be breathing in one of the parking garages at the Mary’s Woods senior living facility. When they arrived, they discovered that the patient had been driving a vehicle in the parking garage and had crashed the vehicle.
While they worked to extricate her, LOFD and AMR personnel performed CPR on the driver. They were able to remove her from the vehicle but, unfortunately, their life-saving efforts were unsuccessful and 83-year-old Lake Oswego resident, Vinita Neal, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
There were no other vehicles or people involved in the crash and the investigation is still ongoing into its cause.
