Two Suspects Arrested After Fleeing From Police In Stolen Vehicle
LAKE OSWEGO – On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at about 5:40 A.M., Lake Oswego Police arrested David Michael Dahlen (DOB: 8/31/1996) after he was seen unlawfully entering a vehicle, and attempting to elude a police officer in a vehicle. He was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail for Attempting to Elude a Police Officer (Felony)(ORS 811.540) and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (ORS 164.135). Additional charges will likely be filed. Also arrested was Sara Star Furlong (DOB: 3/13/1997), the passenger in the vehicle. She was cited and released for two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for her arrest.
At about 5:03 A.M. (on October 27th), police were dispatched to the area of 119 Fifth Street for the report of a prowler. The caller reported seeing a silver 4-door sedan pull up in front of his neighbor’s house and the occupants entered his neighbor’s vehicle at 490 Lake Bay Court. The caller reported that they were last seen driving south on Fifth Street toward Cabana Lane, which is a dead-end road. An officer arrived in the area and located the vehicle on Cabana Lane, near the dead-end where there is a walking path that leads to another portion of Cabana Lane.
The officer turned on his emergency overhead lights and the vehicle attempted to flee westbound on the walking path. The vehicle struck some large rocks and became stuck, so the driver and passenger fled on foot. A K-9 Officer from the Beaverton Police Department responded and, after tracking for a short period of time, located the two suspects hiding near a house in the 800 block of Berwick Court. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident.
It was determined that the vehicle had been stolen and it was later released to the owner.
