Underground Injection Control

The City manages underground injection control (UIC) facilities within its jurisdiction that collect stormwater from adjacent streets and right-of-ways and discharge the stormwater 10 or more feet below the ground surface. These UICs are regulated by Oregon DEQ under Underground Injection Control (UIC) regulations in accordance with the Safe Drinking Water Act. UICs  in Oregon are either authorized by rule or require a permit. The City applied for a permit which was approved on October 3, 2016.  A copy of the permit is available below.
