The City's Urban and Community Forestry Workshop series continues. You are invited to:
- Creating Backyard Habitat - September 28, 9 to 11 a.m. Join Friends of Tryon Creek to learn about creating natural habitat in your own yard for native flora and fauna and consider the benefits of Backyard Habitat Certification.
Pre-registration is required for this workshop and capacity is limited.
In the November 5, 2024 election, Lake Oswego voters will select one Mayor and three City Councilors. In addition, the Lake Oswego City Council is referring two ballot measures to voters:
- 3-618 - Allows road safety project, driveway realignment on specific park property.
- 3-619 - Prohibits psilocybin businesses within the City of Lake Oswego.
Make sure you are registered to vote! Voter registration deadline is October 15.
Clackamas County Elections Office will mail ballots to registered voters beginning October 16.

On Saturday, October 26, the City will be holding a one-day-only drug take-back event to help community members properly dispose of unwanted or expired prescription and over-the-counter medicines.
This collection event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mary's Woods (Gallagher Building, 17550 Provost Street, Lake Oswego). This event will be a drive-thru collection - please stay in your vehicles.

Lake Oswego uses the ClackCo PublicAlerts emergency notification software system to distribute important emergency messages. The City urges everyone to sign up to receive PublicAlerts notifications.
Each county has its own unique PublicAlerts system. You will only receive this type of alert if the address you provided when signing up is in an affected area. Depending on where you live, work, attend school, etc. You might need to register in several counties.
