City Attorney Ellen Osoinach

In December 2022, Lake Oswego City Council selected Ellen Osoinach as its new City Attorney. Most recently a Local Legal Initiative Attorney for the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press (RCFP), Ms. Osoinach began her new role on January 23, 2023.

Prior to her position at RCFP, Ms. Osoinach was the Senior Deputy City Attorney for the City of Portland, the Deputy District Attorney at Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, and has worked for the Oregon State Legislature. Ms. Osoinach obtained her law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rhodes College. Ms. Osoinach replaced former City Attorney Jason Loos, who resigned in 2022.
