Farm Fresh Kids
Introducing the Farm Fresh Kids Passport to Healthy Living
A Fun Adventure Awaits at the Market
We’re excited to share a fresh new look for our Farm Fresh Kids Program this season! After many years of weekly worksheets, we’re introducing a more sustainable and engaging way for kids to learn about healthy living, local food, and farm life through our Farm Fresh Kids Passport to Healthy Living!
During each weekly market visit, children should stop by the Market Information Booth to pick up their personal Healthy Living Passport. With passport in hand, it’s time to explore the market and complete three fun activities to earn stamps which can be exchanged for market tokens (up to 3 per market).
Activities will include:
-
Answering the Question of the Day. A fun and easy question to test knowledge about healthy food and farming.
-
Finding our Apple Mascots Betty & Roni. Kids will search for Betty and Roni who have been hidden in our vendor booths.
-
Participate in a fun activity at the Farm Fresh Kids Booth. Children will get hands-on with a variety of activities and games that teach healthy eating and sustainable living lessons.
How it works:
-
Complete the 3 activities to earn 3 stamps (one per activity)
-
Each stamp earns a market token worth $1.00 (max 3 per market)
-
Return to the Information Booth with the stamped passport to receive tokens and drop off the passport for another adventure at the next market.
-
Redeem tokens for fresh fruits and vegetables at the market! A fun way to encourage kids to try new healthy foods, or just enjoys what they already love.
We can’t wait to see our young market-goers earning their stamps and tokens as they discover all the farmers market has to offer. We look forward to seeing them out there!
