Lake Grove Urban Renewal Plan

On July 24, 2012, the City Council adopted Ordinance 2598, approving the Lake Grove Village Center Urban Renewal Plan.  The Plan establishes the urban renewal area and authorizes the use of urban renewal financing for two projects:  Boones Ferry Road and parking. Both projects are consistent with the Lake Grove Village Center Plan that was adopted in 2008 after many years of community work to develop a vision and plan for a revitalized Lake Grove.  The Village Center Plan identifies private development design goals and public projects to improve the Lake Grove area and stimulate private investment, including the two urban renewal projects and other investments in infrastructure and amenities.

On November 3, 2015, the City Council adopted Ordinance 2692 (effective December 3, 2015), approving the Lake Grove Village Center Urban Renewal Plan First Amendment.  The First Amendment adds approximately 12.88 acres of land (formerly West End Building property on Kruse Way) to the urban renewal boundary and removes approximately 0.19 acres of land within the Upper Drive right-of-way area from the boundary.  Expanding the boundary increases the funding available to implement projects in the Plan and also shortens the timeframe of the district by at least one year.
