IRS Imposter Scams are on the rise. Please review the attached document from the Federal Trade Commission to learn about what to watch for and how to respond. The basics:

  • Don't give the caller information
  • Write down details
  • Hang up
  • Contact the IRS directly at 800-829-1040 or irs.gov
  • Report the call at tigta.gov or 877-FTC-HELP
  • Warn friends and family
