October 2026: South Shore Fire Station Update

Project Status: Schematic Design is complete and the cost estimating has begun. Once the estimate is complete, the team will value engineer design decisions to remain on track and under budget.

Schedule: The Land Use Application for the Temporary Station has been submitted. Land Use Application for the New Fire Station will be submitted in October.

Completed:

• Arts Council Steering Committee for Public Art Selection Created
• Design Package review with City Facilities, IT, and Fire Steering Committee
• Initial Meeting with Energy Trust of Oregon

Still to be completed:

• Arborist Reports for both applications
• Hazardous Materials Inspection in permanent station prior to demolition
• Schematic Design Cost Estimate
