Bulky Waste & Mattress Recycling Event
The City of Lake Oswego and Republic Services are pleased to offer a free bulky waste and mattress recycling drop-off event for Lake Oswego residents on Saturday, October 4, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This event provides an opportunity for Lake Oswego residents to dispose of large items that do not fit in curbside collection bins, such as dishwashers, stoves, dryers, water heaters, furniture, mattresses, scrap metal, and clean, untreated wood. There is no charge to dispose of items.
The event does not accept appliances with freon, construction debris of any type, propane bottles or canisters, paint, batteries, solvents, thinners, car tires, household garbage, recyclable materials (other than mattresses), or yard debris. All fuel and oils must be emptied from gas-powered equipment and engines. Participants should only bring items that can be removed from vehicles without staff assistance.
Mattress recycling is provided by the Mattress Recycling Council. For more information about mattresses and box springs acceptable for recycling visit: byebyemattress.com/faq/.
Please note that this event is for Lake Oswego residents only. Items will not be accepted from commercial businesses.
The event will be taking place in the Yakima Products parking lot at 4101 Kruse Way. Please enter from Kruse Way.
