Notes: Mounted on cardboard. Same as 1640a & 865. [license plate] ORE 3085 Newspaper caption: Horse and Buggy Daze. We wonder how many residents now living in Oswego and Glenmorrie can remember when this "streamlined" station wagon met the trains at the local S.P. depot and transported Glenmorrie residents up "over the hill" to their homes. Jean McGuire, local writer, claims she can still remember every bump and chuck-hole encountered when her mother was bringing her home from the hospital a few days after her birth, but we're afraid Jean was "stretching a point" when she made that claim. We've been contacting all the old timers in an effort to identify the men in the picture and was able to find out, thanks to Mr. Nelson up at Nelson's Grocery, that the nattily attired individual on the left, evidently the driver, was named Kellogg, and not Lou Lavacheck, dapper salesman down at Paul Murphy's, as several folks thought at first glance. If anyone can lend further aid in identifying these two men will they please call us and we will publish it next issue.
Notes on back: [Willis] Carrington, the driver. Ed Yates? Glenmorrie. OA#107.
