Notes: See also 5007a. Scan of photo in Lake Oswego Review newspaper; 12/31/1964. Caption: Normal. This picture of the Lake Corporation power house was taken early this year and this is how most people have seen it, as it lies well above the bed of Oswego Creek. From this point on down through the city park, the creek drops several more feet before entering the Willamette. But the raging Willamette had backed into Oswego Creek so far and so fast that cracks developed in the structure. An all night vigil with pumps and sandbagging to save the electric motors from damage was to no avail. Water poured in through the cracks and windows Thursday and Friday to make this power plant another river casualty. -Review photo.
