Notes on back: Portland Hotel, run by J.C. Haines. [slip of paper]: No name. Old Portland Hotel. Run by J.C. Haines. I think this is the Cement Co. Hotel on the river next to Dave Locke's [?] house. Torn down about 1940. Had basement (shown here) with kitchen & living room & 2 upper floors of 16 bedrooms, 10 X 10 rooms. mws. [incorrect]
