C.W. Twining house. Built c. 1915. Frances Twining was a well-known author. She wrote "Bird Watching in the West" and a series of garden and bird-watching articles for Oregonian in the 1930s. Their son Nathan attended West Point and became Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during WWII. |
