Courtesy of Patrick Bloedorn. Lower left portion of photo amidst the trees is the coal silo and coal conveyer. Coal facilities were put in with government subsidies shortly before the plant closed. At the bottom of photo are the #4 kiln and #4 slurry basin. Two vertical cylinders east of the #4 kiln are the #26 and #27 silos. Rectangular roofs north of the silos are the clinker silos. East of the #26 and #27 silos along the water is the rock barge. North along the shore are the chip terminal and the chip barge. At the top of the shot east of State Street are more clinker silos and the finish grind. |
