Night construction is under way on a new major sewer pipeline on State Street between Foothills Road and Northshore Road. To minimize impacts to the traveling public, this work is being conducted between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Please expect delays and plan extra travel time during work hours.

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., LO ARES will set up a temporary transmitting station in front of Lakeridge High School. Meet the LO ARES team and learn about the many ways they assist the LO Fire Department by providing auxiliary radio communications during disasters, such as the September 2020 Oregon wildfires and the February 2021 ice storm.
Field Day is a live, long-distance two-way radio demo - educational, operational, and fun!
In Oregon, retail fireworks can be sold between June 23 and July 6. Even with all the recent rain, fireworks can be dangerous.
Here are a few important safety tips:
- BE PREPARED before lighting fireworks: Keep water available by using a garden hose or bucket.
- BE SAFE when lighting fireworks: Keep children and pets away from fireworks.
- BE RESPONSIBLE after lighting fireworks: Never re-light a dud. Wait 15 to 20 minutes then soak it in a bucket of water before disposal.
- BE AWARE: Use only legal fireworks and use them only in legal places (not in City or State Parks).
In the November 8, 2022 election, Lake Oswego voters will select three City Councilors.
If you are interested in running for Council or would like more information, please come to an informational meeting at City Hall, 380 A Avenue, on Tuesday, July 12, at 6 p.m.
Filing candidacy paperwork can be done by appointment from now through August 22.
