Imposter Syndrome
Have you ever found yourself feeling like an imposter or fraud in your own life? Or this feeling like you don’t belong, or that it’s only a matter of time before everyone finds out you really aren’t as great as everyone thinks you are. If you find yourself identifying with these thoughts, you are not alone. In fact many people we see as being examples of the epitome of success are those who at times feel as though they are imposters or that they are ‘not enough’ and that they attribute their success to that of good luck or timing and discredit the hard work and tenacity that got them there.
Dr. Kristen Casey, is a clinical psychologist, author, social media contributor, speaker and consultant. Her clinical interests include insomnia, borderline personality disorder, gender and sexuality exploration, and anxiety treatment for emerging adults. Her psychotherapy style includes utilizing evidence-based treatments and existential approaches to help clients achieve life fulfillment. Dr. Casey is known for her straightforward, down-to-earth approach and gentle humor. She is the author of, Life Lessons to Master Before You Die: Practical Ways to Achieve an Authentic Living Experience”. And she is most known for being very active on social media having over 138,000 followers on TikTok and a highly sought after YouTube Channel called PsychThrive. She uses her media presence to shed light on mental health education and also direction for those who are seeking guidance to become therapists.=
