Youth Members on Advisory Boards
As a voting member on one of five Advisory Boards, Youth Members have a unique opportunity to make their mark on Lake Oswego. Attending each of their Board's monthly meetings, Youth Members are asked to weigh in on issues related to the charge of their Board and to help shape recommendations to the City Council.
Supported by the Chair of the Board, Council liaison, and Staff liaison, students have the opportunity to learn about City operations directly from those doing the work. This structured learning space is designed to balance skilling-up with sharing-out, bringing student perspective into the decision-making process, with support.
Applications for 2024 appointments are closed. Click below to receive an email when our next recruitment cycle opens (April 2025) and to learn about other opportunities to get involved with the City.
