2024 Board & Commission Appointees Begin Their Terms

June 25, 2024 – LAKE OSWEGO CITY HALL

Five days before their terms begin, Mayor Joe Buck hosted Boards & Commissions appointees for their first official duty -- orientation.

After the City Council unanimously affirmed the appointment of 45 community members on June 18th, new and returning members gathered to discuss their responsibilities.  Conversation ranged from the City Council goals to the ethics of public service, concluding with a gathering of the youth members serving on advisory boards.

The Mayor expressed gratitude for members' willingness to show up for their community in this capacity, emphasizing that these positions are a critical part of the City Council's deliberative and decision-making processes.
