Selected by the Lake Oswego City Council, Ms. Bennett began as City Manager on August 19, 2019.
Prior to joining the City of Lake Oswego, Bennett was the Chief Operating Officer of Metro. She brings over 25 years of solid local government experience.
In 2021, the City as an organization went through a process of updating its mission and values.
Construction of the new City Hall was completed in September 2021. Located at 380 Avenue in downtown Lake Oswego, City Hall includes space for existing City departments including Police and 911 dispatch center, as well as public meeting places. At 73,000 square feet, the new City Hall provides a seismically safe, energy efficient and better functioning building for the community and City staff.
Pursuant to the Lake Oswego City Charter, the City Manager is appointed by the City Council to carry out council policies and to serve as chief administrative officer of the City. The City Manager manages the business of the City and implements the Council's plans and orders by:
