Temporary Signal at Country Club Road and Wembley Park Road

A temporary traffic signal is being installed at the intersection of Country Club Road and Wembley Park Road. Lane closures are in place from 9 am - 3 pm Monday to Friday. Activation of the temporary signal is expected on Wednesday, May 1. Please watch for crews and flaggers, and be alert as the new signal becomes activated.

Pilkington/Jean Rd Intersection Improvements

Much-needed safety and transportation improvements are coming to the Jean and Pilkington Road intersection. Starting in spring 2024 and continuing through summer, a new signal will be built at this intersection, along with ADA improvements, bike lanes and sidewalks.

Pathway Design Underway

In 2024, design on the next set of pathways is taking place: Lanewood Street/Douglas Circle, Meadowlark Lane, Tree Top Lane, Pilkington Road, and Carman Drive.  

This project is part of the City and Council goal of providing safe pedestrian facilities that encourage walking, rolling, and riding.

Traffic Impacts on Boones Ferry Road at Washington Court

Public improvements including new water, sewer, and stormwater lines, curb ramps, crossings, detection, and a southbound left turn pocket are under construction at the intersection of Boones Ferry Road and Washington Court.

Over the coming months, the traveling public should expect intermittent lane closures and major traffic shifts on Boones Ferry Road between Pilkington Road and Upper Drive. Please plan for extra travel time and changing conditions.

ADA Curb Ramp Program

The City is implementing a new ADA curb ramp program to address accessibility gaps, enhance safety, comply with legal requirements, promote community inclusivity, and contribute to broader infrastructure modernization efforts. By implementing a comprehensive program, the City can create a more accessible and welcoming environment for everyone.

In 2024, the first set of curb ramps to be designed as part of the new curb ramp program include 19 high priority ramps.
