Active Traffic Management Project on Hwy 217

Project Background / Summary:

ODOT is implementing an Active Traffic Management Project on Hwy 217. The project  starts on Kruse Way near Centerpointe and includes the installation of several dozen permanent variable message signs that will be mounted on poles so that drivers can be informed of potential delays and conflicts, enabling them to make informed decisions.

In Lake Oswego, ODOT will install one sign for westbound drivers on Kruse Way, just as it begins the approach to the Hwy 217/I-5 Interchange.

Construction will begin at this location during the week of March 11, therefore, drivers may expect minimal delays during the daytime in the are of Kruse Way and Centerpointe. The actual message sign won't be installed and activated until later in August.  Before the end of the summer, ODOT will repave most of Hwy 217 from Lake Oswego up through Beaverton.
