This May, the City of Lake Oswego is proud to celebrate the history, achievements and contributions of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander people. The AANHPI umbrella term includes cultures from the entire Asian continent including East, Southeast and South Asia and the Pacific Islands of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia.

March is Women's History Month. We encourage everyone to honor the legacy of women who changed the world by contributing to the economic, cultural, and social development of our society and to support the women who contribute to our future. 

Through the month of March, the City will highlight seven women working for our City with the “Women’s HERstory Month” campaign. Each week a new person will be featured. Check out the campaign and learn about these incredible individuals.

In November, join the City in honoring the rich and diverse culture and heritage of the Native American community. The contributions of the Native American community have greatly enhanced the quality and character of Lake Oswego, the Pacific Northwest and our entire nation.
